Political leaders and authorities in the Dominican Republic continue to organize regional structures to support the political project of David Collado in preparation for the 2028 electoral process. In the Enriquillo Region, an assembly in Neiba brought together legislators and municipal authorities from Bahoruco, Barahona, Independencia, and Pedernales to coordinate political teams led by Collado and Eduardo ‘Yayo’ Sanz Lovatón. In La Vega, Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) leaders have integrated their teams to support Collado. Agustín Burgos has assumed provincial coordination, with Danny Holguín leading the coordination in Concepción de La Vega. The provincial executive direction is headed by deputy and PRM secretary general Elpidio Infante, while deputy Gabriela Abreu manages political direction. In Puerto Plata, Mayor Diomedes Roque García and his political team formally expressed support for Collado’s leadership during a PRM meeting. This alignment follows an institutional relationship regarding tourism and infrastructure development, with the Mayor’s office noting support from the Ministry of Tourism under Collado’s direction. Furthering this mobilization, Alberto Rodríguez has formed a sports-focused support structure for Collado, incorporating various national athletic figures. Expansion of this political project has reached the province of Santa Cruz de El Seibo, where Mayor Leo Francis Zorrilla Ramos has joined the movement. Supported by the structure of Eduardo ‘Yayo’ Sanz Lovatón, this move aims to organize and mobilize voters for the 2028 presidential elections within the PRM.
