Rapper Drake has announced plans for a 2027 world tour following the September premiere of his visual project, ‘FOMO’. Alongside the tour news, Drake has become the first artist to surpass 350 million RIAA-certified units in the United States. This milestone includes several new certifications, such as Diamond status for the album ‘Views’ and the singles ‘In My Feelings’ and ‘Marvin’s Room’. He now holds a record of 18 Diamond plaques, while ‘God’s Plan’ has reached double-diamond status. On October 23, 2026, as he approached his 40th birthday, Drake hosted a private celebration at Casa Cipriani in New York City for approximately 400 guests. The event featured luxury giveaways from brands including Chanel and Hermès, as well as a surprise performance by the Backstreet Boys, where Drake joined the group to perform ‘I Want It That Way’. Reports also indicate the party included a game show with cash prizes reaching up to $1 million. Reflecting on the milestone, Drake told guests the evening was not about promoting new products or tours, but was simply ‘about being alive, staying alive.’ Recent reports indicate the birthday festivities expanded into a multi-day event in New York City. A second celebration was held at Delilah, which featured appearances by entertainment figures such as Travis Scott and Jack Harlow.
