Former New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a first-ballot selection for the Class of 2026. The induction ceremony took place in Canton, Ohio. During an emotional acceptance speech, Brees thanked numerous individuals, including his wife Brittany, former head coach Sean Payton, and General Manager Mickey Loomis. He addressed the city of New Orleans directly, expressing his gratitude for how the community embraced him and trusted him with the "soul ‘soul of the city." city.’ Brees reflected on a 20-year career that included time with the San Diego Chargers and leading the Saints to a Super Bowl XLIV victory. He concluded his career with 80,358 passing yards—the second-most in NFL history—and 571 touchdown passes. He was introduced at the ceremony by Sean Payton, the current head coach of the Denver Broncos.
