Authorities in Kenya have reported several separate drowning incidents across different counties. In Machakos County, two men died in separate events. In Nthangathini Village, 20-year-old Joshua Mutuku Muisuo drowned in a private dam. In Kathiani, 25-year-old technician Barnabas Lucky Baraza drowned in River Thwake after reportedly jumping into the water while traveling. Subsequent reports indicated multiple accidental drownings involving young children in other regions. In Kiambu County, a two-year-old boy drowned in a water-filled pit. In Trans Nzoia County, two children under the age of three drowned in a man-made water pan. Additionally, a four-year-old boy drowned in a pool of water in Migori County. Police in these locations have launched investigations and ordered postmortem examinations. Recent reports have identified further fatalities in Kenya. In Nairobi, 19-year-old Elisha Mwadime drowned in a swimming pool at an apartment complex. In Kakamega County, two cousins, aged 7 and 10, drowned while bathing in the Lusumu River. In Homa Bay County, a 16-year-old boy is reported missing after a boat carrying three juveniles capsized near Jackpot Beach on Lake Victoria.
