Dubai International Airport is expanding its connectivity to Europe through the restoration of several flight services and the introduction of new routes. Emirates has launched a new daily direct service between Dubai and Helsinki using an Airbus A350-900. This route establishes the only year-round direct connection between the United Arab Emirates and Finland, intended to strengthen ties in trade, tourism, cybersecurity, and energy. Further expansion includes the return of up to 36 weekly flights to major destinations in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. Scheduled services include Lufthansa flights to Munich and Frankfurt, Swiss International Air Lines to Zurich, Eurowings services to Berlin, Stuttgart, and Cologne-Bonn, and Austrian Airlines flights to Vienna. For the upcoming winter season between October and December, several airlines are reinstating routes to accommodate high demand from business travelers and tourists. Lufthansa is set to restart services to Munich and Frankfurt on October 25, followed by Swiss International Air Lines connecting to Zurich on October 27. In November, Eurowings will introduce 14 weekly flights serving Berlin, Stuttgart, and Cologne-Bonn, while Austrian Airlines is scheduled to resume flights to Vienna on December 12. Additionally, British Airways has confirmed the resumption of a daily service from London Heathrow starting November 3, with plans to increase frequency to twice daily next year.
