Dutch national team coaching departures

Overview

Several coaches within the Oranje national sports programs are stepping down following the conclusion of the current season.

In the men’s national selection, coaches Benjamin Engelschman and Tim Schrama will depart. They joined the team in 2024 to rebuild the squad following a withdrawal from the World Cup in China. Under their leadership, the team secured a ninth-place finish at the 2025 European Championship and a seventh-place finish at the recent World Cup in Germany. The Werkgroep Topsport is currently searching for successors.

Within the youth categories, Robyn Uphof is leaving her role with the Women’s Under 21 team to focus on her dancing career. Uphof helped lead the team to a bronze medal at the 2025 European Championship and a sixth-place finish at the 2026 World Cup. Additionally, Jeroen Muusse is departing from his position as coach of the Men’s Under 21 team.
