San Marino-based company Eccentrica has unveiled the V12 Roadster, a modern restomod evolution of the Lamborghini Diablo. Developed with input from former Lamborghini CTO Maurizio Reggiani and in partnership with Milanese design studio Borromeo De Silva, the project aims to modernize the classic supercar while preserving an analogue driving experience. The vehicle features a carbon-fiber reinforced steel chassis and a body composed of carbon fiber and steel. The transformation involves over 3,500 new components. It is powered by a 5.7-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine producing 550 hp and 600 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gated manual transmission. The Roadster can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of approximately 334-335 km/h (208 mph). Designed as an open-top model, the car utilizes optimized aerodynamics to reduce cabin noise. The interior combines 1980s aesthetics with modern technology, including matrix displays and Marantz audio. To enhance the cabin, Eccentrica has partnered with Alcantara to design the interior, utilizing the material to balance luxury and sportiness through a wide color palette that complements the vehicle’s angular design language. The vehicle was scheduled to make its public debut at The Quail during Monterey Car Week, Week in Carmel, California, with expected pricing exceeding £1 million.
