In Bariloche, Río Negro, regional authorities are advancing infrastructure and economic development projects to support the local tourism and productive sectors. Initial efforts focused on the final construction stages of a new bus terminal. Provincial ministers and business representatives inspected the facility to ensure efficient passenger flow and better integration with Route 40 to facilitate travel to nearby destinations. Following these infrastructure developments, local leadership announced broader economic initiatives. Mayor Walter Cortés and Governor Alberto Weretilneck introduced various financing tools, including the Río Negro Guarantee Fund (FOGARÍO) and the Tourism Promotion Law, aimed at reducing bureaucracy and encouraging investment. Recent developments have expanded these efforts. Governor Alberto Weretilneck announced major roadwork projects on provincial routes 6 and 8, spanning 180 kilometers to improve connectivity for production and tourism. In Bariloche, authorities presented new economic tools, including financing lines from the Economic Development Agency (ADERN) exceeding $15 billion, alongside the Youth Employment program and the Tourism Investment Promotion Law to support the private sector and job creation. Regarding the roadwork, progress on the section from Route 68 to La Esperanza has exceeded 75%, while the stretch from National Route 22 to Route 68 is over 46% complete. These improvements are intended to strengthen strategic corridors for production, energy, and tourism. To promote regional tourism, the 13th edition of the ‘Bariloche a la Carta’ gastronomy festival has been scheduled for October 5–12. This event will feature regional products and will include Córdoba as a guest province to attract visitors.
