Expanded irrigation from the Tunca and Meriç rivers and the use of the ANIZA planting method were cited as key factors behind the projected surge in output. By the end of July, farmers in the district began showcasing technological adaptations to sustain and enhance production. A group of rice growers installed a solar‑powered deep‑well system that lifts water from 100 metres underground, eliminating electricity costs and enabling drone‑based pesticide application.
