The 8th Edremit Book Fair opened Fair, organized by the Edremit Municipality at the Altınkum Fairground in Balıkesir, Turkey, under the theme ‘Book Under the Shadow of the Immortal Tree’. Organized by the Edremit Municipality, the event features continues its program featuring 145 publishing houses and approximately 380 participants, including authors, academics, and journalists. Following Recent programming has expanded to include diverse literary and educational sessions. Author Nedim Gürsel presented a talk titled ‘Yeryüzünde Bir Yolculuk’ regarding his literary journey, while Prof. Dr. Ahmet Şimşirgil discussed ‘Fatih ve Liderlik Sırları’. Discussions have also addressed the legacies of Neyzen Tevfik and Sabahattin Ali. Musical performances by Celo Boluz and Çiğdem Taştan have been integrated into the event schedule. By its opening, sixth day, the fair progressed into introduced specialized workshops for children, such as a series of literary talks writing workshop led by Renan Özdemir and cultural activities.
