Educational developments in Brazil are increasingly focusing on the integration of artificial intelligence and the cultivation of holistic life skills. In the Grande ABC region, recent Ideb data for 2025 indicates that elementary and high school performance has exceeded both state and national averages. Parallel to these academic metrics, there is a movement toward prioritizing social, emotional, and cultural intelligence to complement technological advancements. This is reflected in new technology education initiatives, such as free training programs in AI and programming. These include a 15,000-scholarship bootcamp for Java and AI provided by Itaú Unibanco and DIO, as well as specialized AI courses for developers in the Maré and Rocinha communities through Kodie Academy. Building on this technological momentum, robotics and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) models are being utilized to provide practical learning. The Social Service of Industry (SESI) has integrated robotics into education for over a decade, organizing FIRST competitions in Brazil since 2012. These programs have engaged more than 45,000 students, with current seasons involving approximately 1,500 teams and 10,000 students. These activities aim to develop socio-emotional competencies such as collaboration, creativity, and entrepreneurship alongside technical skills. In the Distrito Federal, officials are pushing to expand these technological programs within public schools, emphasizing that education must evolve alongside advancements in artificial intelligence and automation to meet future economic and job market demands.
