Education and health funding in Rondônia

Federal Deputy Maurício Carvalho has allocated more than R$ 51 million toward the education sector in Rondônia, Brazil. This funding covers various developmental stages, including early childhood education, technical training, and rural transport. A major component of the investment involves R$ 34 million dedicated to constructing eight new daycare centers in municipalities such as Rolim de Moura, Vilhena, Guajará-Mirim, Chupinguaia, Pimenta Bueno, Cacoal, Candeias do Jamari, and Alto Paraíso. Construction is currently in progress in Vilhena and Pimenta Bueno. The initiative is intended to expand access to early childhood education and support parental employment. Additional funds include R$ 5 million for school buses to assist rural transport and R$ 1.6 million for the Instituto Federal de Rondônia (IFRO) to acquire vehicles for the Porto Velho Zona Norte and Colorado do Oeste campuses. Carvalho has also expanded his focus to include health infrastructure. He has advocated for improved healthcare access in rural areas, aiming to reduce the necessity for residents to undertake long-distance travel to obtain medical services.
