On 24 July 2026 the West Bank’s secondary examination recorded Dhuʿāʾ Hānī Mahmoud Ṣāliḥ’s 99.7 % in the scientific track, earning her a place in the University of Jerusalem’s medical faculty, while her twin brother Ḍiyāʾ Hānī Ṣāliḥ scored 96 %. The following day Al‑Azhar University released the official 2025/26 secondary‑school results for Egypt. Of 163,677 candidates, the overall pass rate was 54.18 % (science 61.53 %, literary 45.83 %). Top scorers were Heba Reda Mohamed Mohamed Jaʿbūba (science, 646 points, 99.38 %) and Sama Hany Mohamed Abdel‑Muti Al‑Muslimani (literary, 585 points, 99.15 %). Sheikh Ahmed Al‑Tayeb personally called the three national top graduates, and governors in Menofia, Beheira, Aswan and South Sinai congratulated their locally highest‑ranked students. The Ministry of Higher Education confirmed that government universities will admit Al‑Azhar secondary graduates with at least a 50 % score (excluding religious subjects). The grievance period runs from 28 July to 11 August. In a related release, Al‑Azhar posted results for the Islamic missionary (Baʿth) certificates: 3,656 candidates, with pass rates of 53.14 % (literary), 30.30 % (science) and 41.86 % (pre‑secondary), and highlighted top performers from several countries. A follow‑up report on 25 July highlighted another leading student, Mrawa Fares Abdel‑Sattar of Menouf Governorate, who secured second place in the science stream with 645 points (99.23%) and expressed a wish to study medicine. Regional governors in Beheira, Aswan and South Sinai again issued congratulatory statements, underscoring the breadth of high‑achieving candidates across Egypt.
