Elbląg summer cultural and family events

In early August 2026, the private daycare centre Mały Europejczyk in Elbląg launched a summer programme that transformed its urban playground into a beach‑like setting, offering children garden pools, sprinklers, sand‑castle building and a shaded forest‑style area for nature‑based play. At the same time, the nearby Doły Piekarskie Landscape Complex, a former mining site, provided families with educational walking trails, picnic spots and activities highlighting the region’s geological formations and mining heritage.

Two days later, on 9 August, the Elbląg Cultural Society and the Landscape Park of the Elbląg Uplands organized free events as part of the XIX Summer Music Salon Bażantarnia. An outdoor exhibition displayed historic pre‑war postcards of the Bażantarnia area, while a guided walk offered commentary on the locale’s nature and history. Both events were supported by the city, regional authorities and local partners, and concluded with a concert.

Together, these initiatives illustrate a coordinated effort in Elbląg to combine family‑focused recreation with cultural heritage programming throughout the summer season.
