New Guinness World Records have been established for the distance traveled by production electric vehicles on a single charge. In Poland, rally driver Miko Marczyk drove an Audi A6 Sportback e-tron performance model for 1,338 km (approximately 831 miles) without recharging. This achievement, which significantly exceeded the vehicle’s official WLTP range, surpassed the previous record held by a Lucid Air Grand Touring. Following this, motorcyclist Jelle Verstaen set a record for electric motorcycles by riding a production-model Zero DS 436.5 kilometers on one charge. Utilizing a Power Tank accessory to increase battery capacity to 19.2 kWh, the route spanned from the Franco-Italian Alpine region to the Mediterranean coast. To maximize efficiency, Verstaen maintained a moderate average cruising speed of approximately 52 km/h and utilized nighttime riding to avoid traffic. The journey, which included mountain passes and heavy rain during the final 100 kilometers, improved upon the previous record of 310.689 kilometers by over 40 percent. During the record-breaking attempt, other Zero Motorcycles models also demonstrated high efficiency; the DSR/X reached 384 kilometers and the SR/S reached 350 kilometers. The achievement was independently verified by Guinness World Records officials.
