Employment opportunities and recruitment initiatives have been highlighted in the Brazilian cities of Curitiba and Bauru. In Curitiba, a job fair hosted by the Associação Comercial do Paraná (ACP) targeted individuals over the age of 60, offering more than 700 vacancies and professional guidance. Additionally, the ‘Emprega Curitiba’ digital platform has been utilized to facilitate job searches across various sectors, allowing candidates to apply for roles such as receptionist, bricklayer, and pharmacy attendant. In Bauru, the 11th edition of ‘Gera Bauru – Oportunidades e Carreiras’ provided over 2,900 job openings through more than 50 companies. These opportunities spanned various education levels and included specific positions for people over 50 and persons with disabilities. Recent reports indicate a broader trend of employment opportunities across several Brazilian regions. In Paraná, state agencies have announced over 26,000 formal job openings, with high demand for roles such as production line feeders, slaughterers, and cashiers, particularly in the Curitiba Metropolitan Area and Cascavel. The city of Apucarana is also organizing a large-scale job fair focused on youth, women, and workers over 50. Expanding beyond these areas, significant vacancies are being reported nationwide. Rio de Janeiro has listed 1,623 vacancies, including 462 roles for people with disabilities, while São Paulo’s capital offers over 2,100 positions through the Cate program, and Campinas is hosting a fair with 2,300 openings. Other notable availability includes more than 1,100 openings in the Distrito Federal, 622 in Manaus, 447 in Maringá, 2,303 in Paraíba, and 601 in Sergipe via the GO Sergipe platform. Additionally, Engaja Brasil has launched its 2026 call for projects, allowing civil society organizations to seek social investment funding.
