England Women cricket tour of Sri Lanka

Overview

England Women are scheduled to tour Sri Lanka in early 2027 for a six-match white-ball series consisting of three T20Is in Kandy and three ODIs in Dambulla. The tour schedule is split by the ICC Women's Champions Trophy being held in India.

Potential scheduling conflicts have emerged regarding the T20I leg. England players, including captain Nat Sciver-Brunt, may be excused from the series to prioritize the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2027 knockout stages. An England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) source indicated that players reaching the WPL knockout phase may continue playing for their respective franchises due to the rescheduled Champions Trophy.
