Modernization efforts in this sector rely on distributed server networks to provide scalability, high availability, and pay-as-you-go pricing models.

More recently, the focus has shifted toward the economics of these services. As organizations face high costs and inefficient resource allocation, there is a growing trend toward cloud repatriation, where workloads are moved back to private cloud environments to achieve better cost predictability and a lower total cost of ownership. Reports suggest that while public cloud spending is projected to reach $723 billion in 2025, approximately 94% of organizations may be overspending due to mismanagement and a lack of specialized expertise.
