Overview

In Chile, protesters including students, activists, and members of the National Ecologist Assembly have marched in Santiago and other cities to oppose environmental rollbacks under President José Antonio Kast. Demonstrators are demanding the reinstatement of 43 environmental decrees issued between 2023 and 2026, which were reportedly withdrawn from the Comptroller General’s review in March.
