The EPT Barcelona Main Event began with 635 entries on Day 1A, establishing a provisional prize pool of €3,079,750. At the conclusion of the first day, Michael Dwyer held the chip lead. As the tournament progressed to Day 4, the field narrowed significantly from an initial 1,823 entrants to 67 remaining players. The prize pool grew to €8,841,550, with the winner slated to receive €1,370,050. Fabricio Nociolini of Brazil emerged as the chip leader heading into Day 4, followed by Joris Ruijsat and Stefan Alexandru Toderita. By Day 6, the field has been reduced to just 13 players. The remaining competitors represent a diverse range of nations, including the Netherlands, China, Ireland, Brazil, Lithuania, Lebanon, the USA, Ukraine, and Finland. All players remaining in the competition have secured a minimum payout of €81,350 as the tournament approaches the final table.
