The prepaid eSIM market for travelers continues to expand with new specialized offerings. In early August, British-focused Yesim introduced services connecting to over 800 operators, including Global and ‘Pay & Fly’ options. On August 6, 2026, German reseller mysim24 launched a digital shop targeting German-speaking tourists traveling to destinations such as Turkey or for religious trips like Umrah and Hajj. Airalo has expanded its international eSIM services to cover more than 200 destinations. Further developments include Saily, an eSIM service associated with NordVPN, which provides local, regional, and global prepaid data plans with a 30-day activation window. This follows earlier mid-July developments where Nomad expanded U.S. coverage, and providers like Holafly and Ubigi established a presence in Asia. Other players such as eSimi and iRoamly also entered the market with roaming-free offerings covering 100–200 countries. In September 2026, SIMZY, a provider serving over 220 destinations, expanded its offerings to include voice minutes and SMS in select countries, such as the US, Germany, and the UK, to assist with emergency services and two-factor authentication. SIMZY also launched new Europe-wide 5G plans with fixed or unlimited options for 7 to 30 days. On September 2, 2026, Syma Mobile introduced an international plan on the SFR network priced at 12.99 euros per month.
