While KS supports the regulation for its potential to improve medical research and cross-border health coordination, officials have raised concerns regarding the administrative and economic strain on local governments. Kristin Weidemann Wieland of KS has advised municipalities to begin systematic work on competency building and journal systems immediately to mitigate future costs.
