In Serbia, ongoing wildfires have impacted approximately 13,920 hectares, including the Deliblatska Peščara Special Nature Reserve, prompting the EU to extend emergency support via rescEU helicopters and Romanian firefighting teams. Additionally, record heatwaves in France and Spain, alongside low Danube water levels affecting nuclear plants in Hungary and Romania, have further underscored the urgent need for climate resilience through healthy ecosystems.
