EuroLeague and Serbian sports developments

Preseason predictions for the EuroLeague basketball season identified Panathinaikos and Olympiacos as the primary favorites, while projecting lower rankings for Serbian clubs Crvena zvezda and Partizan.

As the season progressed, Panathinaikos secured a 92:74 victory over Fenerbahçe. Crvena zvezda also recorded a win, defeating Dubai 77:58, while Partizan suffered an 86:76 loss to Real Madrid. Additionally, the sporting rivalry between Partizan and Crvena zvezda extended to the Serbian chess league, where Partizan defeated Crvena zvezda 4:2 in the men’s open competition.

In EuroLeague action, Panathinaikos defeated Partizan. Although Partizan established an early lead, Panathinaikos responded to tie the game at 16:16 by the end of the first quarter and eventually secured a significant advantage following a 9:0 run in the third quarter. Najdžel Hejs-Dejvis led Panathinaikos with 14 points, while Kevarijus Hejs was the top scorer for Partizan with 10 points.

In the FIBA Champions League, Spartak Subotica lost a narrow 86:84 contest to Hapoel Holon. Despite Jalon Pipkins scoring 19 points for Spartak, the Israeli team secured the win behind Adama Sanogo’s 28 points, a result that complicates Spartak's prospects for advancing from Group F.
