Recent financial reports from major European companies indicate growth in the confectionery and retail sectors. Kraš Group reported a consolidated net profit of 6.7 million euros for the first nine months of 2026, an increase of 6.5 million euros over the previous year. Total revenues rose by 4.5 percent to 147.3 million euros. CEO Tomislav Bagić noted that these results support planned investments in production capacities and a new complex in Zaprešić to facilitate long-term expansion. In the retail sector, Żabka Group reported a third-quarter net profit of 528 million PLN, up from 463 million PLN the previous year. Revenue increased by 13.8 percent year-on-year to 8.463 billion PLN, driven by market share gains in beverages and Quick Meal Service. The company is currently undergoing an acquisition by Alimentation Couche-Tard, valued at approximately 32.62 billion PLN, which is expected to close by December 2026 pending antitrust approval. Regarding this acquisition, the company noted that two of the three regulatory conditions have been met. Żabka currently operates over 13,000 stores in Poland and 300 in Romania, with a long-term goal of reaching approximately 16,000 stores by 2028.
