Entertainment platforms and cinemas in Italy and France have announced various continue to expand their film and series lineups for late September 2026. In Italy, Sky and NOW are featuring titles such as ‘Swiped’ and ‘Hamnet’, while RaiPlay is offering films including ‘127 Hours’ and ‘The Visitors’. Netflix reports that ‘Physical Italia: da 100 a 1’ and ‘Monster: The Story of Lizzie Borden’ are trending among Italian viewers. In France, programming includes the ‘XXL Show’ by comedian Artus at select cinemas, literary adaptations and a student film club at Cinéma Le Royal in Toulon, and the 14th Montreuil Film Festival, which features a retrospective of director Andreï Zviaguintsev. Additionally, Prime Video is seeing New theatrical highlights include the return French production ‘Justin le Juste’ and ‘Heart of ‘Dear You’, alongside new content the Beast’ starring Brad Pitt. France is also hosting the SYNCHRO festival in Occitanie, which focuses on silent film accompanied by live music, and a special Coen brothers night at the Festival Lumière in Lyon. Streaming services are also introducing significant new content. Netflix is releasing ‘Unabomber’ and HBO Max. the ‘Steel Ball Run’ series, while Prime Video introduces the mystery series ‘Catedrais’ and the romantic comedy ‘Don’t Be Shy’. Other notable updates include ‘American Horror Story: Season 13’ on Hulu/FX and various Tamil-language titles, such as ‘Habeebi’ on SonyLIV.
