The Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum Layer 2 network utilizing Arbitrum Orbit technology, continues to see rapid expansion through the integration of decentralized finance and tokenized assets. By mid-September 2026, the network’s Total Value Locked (TVL) approached $1 billion, and the stablecoin market cap exceeded $1 billion. Growth is driven by a “flywheel effect” between memecoins and tokenized equities. Stock Tokens, which are ERC-20 representations of US equities and ETFs like Nvidia, Apple, and GameStop, generated approximately $9.7 billion in trading volume over a 30-day period. These tokens allow for market exposure outside of NYSE hours, though they do not grant legal ownership or voting rights and remain unavailable to US persons. Following a period of high volatility and a coordinated rug-pull operation in late September, the network experienced a significant slowdown in activity in early October. Between October 2 and October 8, 2026, daily transactions averaged 6.2 million, a 42% decline from mid-September levels, while daily active addresses fell by 31%. Network fees also dropped to an average of roughly $65,000 per day. However, capital remains on the network, with DeFi deposits rising to $1.04 billion and perpetual futures trading volume increasing by 26% to $7.35 billion. Despite the dip in transaction frequency, the network reached a major milestone by mid-October, surpassing $100 billion in cumulative decentralized exchange (DEX) volume within three and a half months of its July launch. Its 30-day DEX volume of $38.62 billion has outpaced Coinbase’s Base network. Additionally, tokenized stocks have generated $15 billion in volume, and TVL has risen to over $1.05 billion, including $324 million in real-world asset holdings. By late October, the network demonstrated sustained momentum, with a Bitwise report noting that trading volume had increased more than twentyfold in three months.
