Following their loss in the Bulgarian Super Cup, Levski Sofia played to a 0-0 draw against Botev Vratsa in their ninth-round match. In club development news, majority owner Atanas Bostandzhiev announced plans to construct the Georgi Asparuhov Stadium, a modern multi-purpose venue intended to be among the most advanced in Southeast Europe. The penalty follows an incident during the Bulgarian Super Cup where a glass bottle was thrown at CSKA press officer Viktor Ignatov.
