The European Individual Table Tennis Championships in Ljubljana have concluded with several major victories. In the men’s doubles, French brothers Alexis and Félix Lebrun successfully defended their European title. In a five-set final at Arena Stožice, they defeated Sweden’s Kristian Karlsson and Anton Källberg 3-2 (5-11, 11-5, 11-8, 7-11, 11-8). They become only the second pair in history to defend the Men’s Doubles crown, following Germany’s Timo Boll and Christian Süss. Félix Lebrun further extended his success by claiming the men’s singles title. In a closely contested seven-set final, the French world number two defeated Sweden’s Anton Källberg to secure his first European men’s singles championship. Källberg took an early lead by winning the first, fourth, and fifth sets to go up 3-2, but Lebrun staged a comeback, winning the sixth set and dominating the deciding seventh set with an 11-1 scoreline. This win follows their semifinal victory over the top-seeded Romanian pair, Bernadette Szöcsová and Elizabeta Samarová, and marks Kukuľková’s greatest career success, returning a European title to Slovakia in this category after two years. In the women's singles competition, Elizabet Abramjan of Russia claimed the gold medal after defeating Germany's Annette Kaufmann in a seven-set match. In the mixed doubles category, Sweden’s Stina Källberg and Kristian Karlsson secured a bronze medal.
