Everton and Manchester United transfer discussions

Overview

Everton and Manchester United have entered early-stage discussions regarding a potential move for forward Marcus Rashford during the January transfer window. Rashford, a 28-year-old England international, has struggled to find form this season, recording no goal contributions in recent appearances. While it remains unclear if Everton is pursuing a permanent transfer or a loan, financial considerations such as Rashford’s high wages and Manchester United’s valuation are expected to be significant hurdles.

Subsequent reports confirm that discussions are ongoing, with former Everton CEO Keith Wyness suggesting a transfer could be a viable solution for both parties. Rashford is currently sidelined with a hip injury, which has made him a doubt for upcoming Premier League fixtures. Everton continues to look for ways to bolster its forward line to address inconsistent scoring.
