The landscape of AI-driven software development is shifting toward cloud-based, sandboxed execution environments designed to enhance security and efficiency. Initial developments focused on enabling self-hosted environments for AI coding agents. Collaborations between Coder and SpaceXAI introduced the Coder Agent Relay, allowing regulated industries like banking and government to run agents on their own infrastructure to maintain control over sensitive data.
