In October 2026, BolognaFiere hosted two distinct large-scale exhibitions. The first, Urban Tech 2026, focused on smart city management and sustainable mobility, featuring technologies such as e-mobility, telecommunications, and environmental sustainability. A notable highlight included the Emilia 5.9, a solar-powered vehicle developed by the University of Bologna. Later in the month, the 43rd edition of Auto e Moto d’Epoca opened, serving as a major European hub for classic cars and motorcycles. Scheduled Running from October 22 to 25, 2026, the event features over 5,000 vehicles and includes the ‘Icons of Speed – Endurance Legends’ exhibition, which presents twelve extraordinary vehicles such as the Porsche 917, Sauber C9, and Lancia LC1 to trace the evolution of endurance racing. Major manufacturers are participating to celebrate their automotive heritage. Maserati is exhibiting the 1972 Ghibli SS Coupè alongside the new GranTurismo Trofeo to mark its centenary, while Mercedes-Benz is presenting the 1951 300 D ‘Adenauer’ and the 1990 190 E Evolution II. Alfa Romeo is showcasing four generations of sporting sedans, including the 1963 Giulia TI Super, the 75 Turbo Evoluzione, the 155 V6 TI, and the modern Giulia Quadrifoglio Super Sport. Honda Motor Europe is displaying significant motorcycles, including the NSR500 and the RC211V. The event also includes cultural initiatives, such as the ACI Storico Excellence Award being presented to engineer Giampaolo Dallara.
