Two separate explosion incidents have been reported in Bengaluru. On October 7, a transformer explosion on Bagalur Main Road near an Amazon office injured two pedestrians, one of whom sustained severe burns. On October 21, a second explosion occurred at a construction site in the Pulikeshi Nagar area. A construction worker and a security guard were seriously injured during interior work on the fourth floor of a building. While specialized units, including the Anti-Terrorism Squad and a bomb squad, investigated the scene, officials noted there is currently no confirmed evidence of a deliberate attack. One injured individual suggested the blast may have been caused by a battery-operated object. Investigations into the Pulikeshi Nagar blast have intensified following reports that the explosion occurred after workers opened a bag found on the road. Two workers, identified as Allauddin and Suraj, sustained injuries, including one worker who reportedly lost a finger. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has requested preliminary reports and forensic findings, joining the probe alongside the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and the Internal Security Division (ISD). Investigators are examining several possibilities, including an improvised explosive device (IED), a chemical reaction, or a battery malfunction. Additionally, a security guard reportedly told investigators he received an anonymous phone call instructing him to place a parcel inside the premises. Karnataka Home Minister Priyank Kharge has urged the public to avoid rumors while awaiting results from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL).
