The selection processes and preparations for the 2027 Fallera Mayor representatives in Valencia and Gandia have continued. In Gandia, Lidia Marín Marzal and Valentina Jordà Micó have been officially proclaimed the Fallera Mayor and Fallera Mayor Infantil for 2027, respectively. During ceremonies held at the Museu Faller, Mayor José Manuel Prieto presented both representatives with their official sashes and insignia alongside their respective Courts of Honor. ~~The events were attended by municipal representatives from Gandia and Benirredrà.~~ In Valencia, the selection process for the 2027 representatives remains ongoing. As part of the evaluation phase, 73 candidates for the Fallera Mayor Infantil participated in a traditional gala afternoon at the Palacio de la Exposición to demonstrate their communication skills and social interaction to the jury. Regarding the 2027 Gala for the election of the Falleras Mayores de Valencia, a new production titled ‘Ritus’ has been announced. Scheduled for September 26 at the Roig Arena, the ceremony aims to transform the traditional event into a large-scale spectacle inspired by ancient Roman ‘Valentia’. To streamline the event, the traditional intermission will be eliminated in favor of a single continuous act. The production is expected to feature a live symphonic band of 140 musicians directed by Quique Montesinos and a dance troupe of 26 performers. This edition coincides with the tenth anniversary of the Fallas being declared a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, with approximately 13,000 people expected to attend. Additionally, the Junta Central Fallera concluded its first public competition to select the official pasodobles for the 2027 ~~festivities, an initiative under the ‘València Music City’ strategy.~~ festivities. Enrique Hernandis Martínez was chosen to compose the pasodoble for the 2027 Fallera Mayor, while Frank J.
