The drama follows Alya’s struggle to escape her circumstances. After a failed attempt to flee to Canada, Alya is taken hostage by Demir Baybars and later pressured into a conditional marriage with Cihan to maintain family balance. During this period, Sadakat shoots Alya, though she survives. Tensions escalate as Nare suffers a miscarriage and Alya’s attempt to return to her medical career is sabotaged by Sadakat. In July, Alya abandons a planned trip to New York after a tense encounter at the airport. A major family secret emerges when Sadakat confesses that Boran was actually Ecmel’s son, not Cihan’s. Amidst an influenza outbreak in Nergisli, Alya cares for a sick Cihan. Meanwhile, Kaya attempts to escape prison, and Zerrin faces a forced marriage to Sedat, which Sahin tries to prevent. By August, the conflict shifts toward legal and lethal intrigue. Alya seeks an out-of-court divorce through lawyer Talat, but Cihan refuses. Zerrin marries Demir to secure a video that could exonerate her brother. Alya also discovers a DVD documenting Azem’s assassination. Recent developments center on Fikriye’s health and a child’s disappearance. Following a confrontation with Alya, Fikriye loses consciousness and is diagnosed with lung cancer, later confessing to Cihan that she has little time remaining. As the story progresses, Fikriye is expected set to use the secret of Boran’s paternity die while attempting to blackmail save Alya. Cihan investigates Boran’s death, suspecting Halis Koroğlu of providing information that led to the tragedy. Cihan plans to get arrested by setting fire to a shed to confront Halis. Meanwhile, Zerrin informs Demir he is not the father of her baby, and Sadakat discovers Mine is pregnant.
