Universal’s plan to relaunch the original *Fast & Furious* on Aug. 21, 2026 and debut the sequel *Fast Forever* on Mar. 17, 2028 remains stalled by a budget impasse. Earlier July reports flagged rising costs and the possibility of scaling back a $379 million production.
