In Greece, several fatal and injurious incidents have been reported. In Messara, Crete, an 87-year-old woman died after being struck by an agricultural vehicle while her 55-year-old son was reversing. The driver was arrested following the accident, and authorities are currently investigating the incident. In the same region, a 22-year-old German motorcyclist died after his vehicle veered off the road and struck a parked car near the Matala-Moires route; his twin sister sustained minor injuries. In Thessaloniki, a tree fell in a playground in the Kalamaia Kalamaria district on Themistokleous Street, causing injuries to a 30-year-old mother and her 17-month-old child. The mother suffered head injuries, while the and infant sustained an eye injury; head injuries, but both victims are reported to be in stable condition. Local residents had previously raised concerns regarding the tree’s tilt, and the Mayor of Kalamaia, Kalamaria, Chrysa Arapoglou, has ordered an investigation into the cause of the fall. In Skyros, a 77-year-old man was seriously injured after being attacked by two goats that climbed onto his balcony. The man suffered abdominal injuries and fell from a staircase during the encounter; he is currently receiving treatment in an Athens hospital.
