In the village of Zhymë, Lushnjë, 45-year-old Florion Dalladaku is suspected of attacking his parents with an axe. The assault resulted in the death of his 80-year-old mother, Fanije Dalladaku, and left his 77-year-old father, Hasan Dalladaku, seriously injured. The father was transported to a trauma hospital in Tirana for specialized treatment. Dalladaku fled the scene in a vehicle belonging to his brother but was apprehended by police near the Memorial Hospital in Fier approximately one hour later. Relatives noted that the suspect has a history of mental health issues, including two hospitalizations at the Elbasan Psychiatric Hospital in the last six years, and a prior criminal record involving an attempted shooting of a neighbor. During police custody, Dalladaku has exhibited unusual behavior and remained non-communicative, even in the presence of a lawyer. Due to concerns regarding his mental state and the risk of self-harm, authorities placed a protective helmet on him while in detention. Investigations are ongoing to determine the motives behind the attack.
