Some victims were reported to be in critical condition. condition and were transferred to hospitals in Vijayawada for advanced medical care. Preliminary investigations by the Suryapet police suggest that overspeeding or driver fatigue may have been a factor and that the truck may have struck a road divider before being hit by the bus. Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed condolences and directed officials to ensure the injured receive advanced medical care. Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has vowed to take “strict action against negligent private travel operators” to prevent future occurrences.
