Eze has pleaded not guilty to a fugitive from justice charge and has agreed to extradition to Rhode Island, where he is expected to face murder charges. Identified as a Nigerian national, Eze reportedly entered the United States on a B-2 tourist visa in 2015 and subsequently overstayed his authorized stay. While he received deferred action under both the Biden and Trump administrations—with his most recent request approved on October 8, 2025—the Department of Homeland Security noted that a murder conviction would result in the termination of that status.
