Fatal traffic accidents have been reported in different regions of Greece. In Pyrgos, a collision at the Lampetiou intersection on the Patras-Pyrgos National Road resulted in the death of a cyclist and injuries to five others. Preliminary investigations indicate a vehicle attempting to cross the national road perpendicularly struck another vehicle traveling toward Ancient Olympia. In Glyfada, Athens, a high-speed crash on Poseidonos Avenue killed three young Albanian nationals, originally from Fier, and left two 18-year-olds in critical condition at Asklepieio Voulas Hospital. The vehicle, described as a modified, low-profile car, struck a hotel wall with enough force to scatter debris over a 30-meter radius and almost completely destroy the car. Authorities are investigating whether the occupants were engaged in illegal street racing and broadcasting via TikTok live at the time of the incident. Further details regarding the Glyfada crash indicate the vehicle was carrying five occupants. The deceased have been identified as a 23-year-old driver and two passengers aged 18 and 26. Two other 18-year-old passengers were rescued by firefighters and transported to the General State Hospital of NICE in critical condition, with one remaining intubated in intensive care. Road police continue to investigate the exact circumstances of the collision, which occurred around 02:00 on Poseidonos road heading toward Athens.
