A vehicle accident occurred on Provincial Route 52 at kilometer 30, along the Cuesta de Lipán in Jujuy, Argentina. A Toyota SW4 4x4 lost control and fell approximately 80 meters down a steep precipice. Initial reports indicated that a 58-year-old woman from Buenos Aires died at the scene, while four other occupants survived with multiple traumas. Subsequent details identified the deceased as Silvia Rosana Amaro and reported that her daughter, Lorena Paola González, was diagnosed with brain death. Three other passengers, including the driver, were transported to Hospital Pablo Soria. The prosecutor’s office has ordered technical inspections of the vehicle and road conditions to investigate whether the crash resulted from mechanical failure, road conditions, or driver error. Newer reports confirm that Lorena Paola González, 33, has passed away at Hospital Pablo Soria following her diagnosis of brain death. The two fatalities involve members of a family from Alejandro Korn, Buenos Aires province, who were traveling through Salta and Jujuy for tourism. The three other occupants—Narciso González, 60; Favio Hernán González, 31; and Augusto Coda, 34—are reported to be in stable condition. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash on the steep, winding mountain road.
