FC Bayern München entered negotiations to sell a 5 percent stake in its AG to the heating technology company Viessmann for approximately 250 million euros. The club aimed to finalize the deal to bring total external shareholding to 30 percent, alongside existing major shareholders Adidas, Audi, and Allianz. Following these discussions, the transaction was completed via a capital increase. While the exact financial figures were not officially released, the deal was expected to be in the triple-digit million euro range. As a result of the sale, Viessmann’s shareholding reached approximately 6.7 percent, while the other three minority shareholders each hold slightly less than 7.8 percent. The parent club retains 70 percent of the shares. As part of the agreement, Viessmann CEO Max Viessmann is expected to join the supervisory board, increasing its membership from nine to ten. Club President Herbert Hainer stated the move strengthens the ownership structure and improves the equity base to provide more flexibility during periods of change. The new newly acquired capital is intended to support strategic areas initiatives, including sustainability, digitalization, and international growth.
