FC Porto and Galatasaray transfer negotiations

Transfer negotiations involving FC Porto and Galatasaray have centered on player Rodrigo Mora. Initially, reports indicated that Galatasaray was nearing a deal to secure the 18-year-old on loan, with discussions focused on a clause regarding his minimum number of matches played. Porto coach Francesco Farioli noted that while some players seek more playing time, he did not list Mora as one of them.

By a later date, the pursuit of Mora intensified as Galatasaray prepared for the Süper Lig. The Turkish club reportedly planned to propose a loan deal featuring a €40 million purchase option. This move follows a rejected €25 million bid from AS Roma for the player. In addition to the Mora negotiations, Galatasaray has also made a €20 million offer for Lokomotiv Moscow's Aleksey Batrakov.

As the Turkish Süper Lig approaches its kickoff on August 14, negotiations for Mora have reached an advanced stage. The potential deal is now described as a package that could include a €15 million loan fee alongside the previously reported €40 million purchase option. Competition for the 19-year-old talent has intensified, with Italian club Roma re-entering the race. Simultaneously, Galatasaray is looking to address midfield concerns following fan dissatisfaction, with players such as Leon Goretzka and Dani Ceballos being discussed to bolster the squad.
