Füchse Berlin handball club management changes

Former German international Paul Drux began a transition from player to senior management at Füchse Berlin on 1 July 2026. After a year as a trainee with the club’s main sponsor Kieback & Peter, he entered the club office to learn administrative duties. The plan calls for Drux to assume increasing responsibilities and ultimately replace current director Bob Hanning within two years, overseeing contracts, commercial matters and the club’s sporting and financial direction.

A few days later, former German handball star Stefan Kretzschmar announced that he has cut ties with ex‑club manager Bob Hanning and is focusing on a new handball agency, dreisiebenmedia, which he co‑founded with Jari Brüggmann and Lennart Wilken‑Johannes. Kretzschmar said he will not work for another club, but he praised Füchse Berlin’s continued strength while warning that recent player departures could affect team cohesion. He named SC Magdeburg as the favorite for the German championship, with SG Flensburg‑Handewitt, THW Kiel and VfL Gummersbach also in contention.
