Financial technology firms are increasingly integrating stablecoins into traditional payment and lending infrastructures through strategic partnerships. Visa has begun integrating VisaNet settlement data with blockchain-based lending to support the growth of stablecoin-linked cards. This initiative allows lenders to use offchain settlement records and onchain transaction data to evaluate creditworthiness. Visa is currently piloting a revolving credit facility with Credit Coop to support stablecoin settlement volumes, which have reached an annualized run rate exceeding $20 billion. Additionally, Visa is partnering with the International Finance Corporation on a $200 million facility to expand digital payment access in emerging markets. Other industry players are following similar expansion paths. Marqeta and BVNK have partnered to enable stablecoin-backed card capabilities, allowing customers to embed digital dollar features into wallets and cards. Meanwhile, Expanding access to smaller institutions, Coinbase and payments infrastructure provider Moov have formed a partnership partnered to provide bring stablecoin payment acceptance, settlement, and custody services capabilities to over more than 1,000 community banks and credit unions, enabling smaller financial institutions unions. This collaboration integrates Coinbase’s stablecoin infrastructure and custodial wallet accounts into Moov’s platform to offer digital asset provide regulated services via existing payment platforms. such as consumer payments, merchant acceptance, and real-time funding. Moov CEO Wade Arnold stated the goal is to allow business customers to access these services through their primary financial institution rather than external crypto providers.
