Preparations for the Fira i Festes de Gandia have commenced with cultural events and promotional activities. A musical prelude featuring singer-songwriter Serafín Zubiri and the Unió Artístic Musical Sant Francesc de Borja was held at the Plaça del Prado. To stimulate tourism and economic activity outside the summer months, local representative Víctor Soler launched a promotional campaign in Valencia. The initiative highlights the 700-year-old tradition of the fairs and the figure of the Tio de la Porra. During the festivities, the city expanded its focus to community engagement. The Department of Citizen Participation organized a showcase at the Passeig de les Germanies, allowing various social, cultural, and neighborhood associations to present their projects to residents. Furthermore, the VI Acte Cívic Ciutat de Gandia was held at City Hall to honor contributors to the city’s progress. Distinctions were awarded to the Club Deportivo de Pesca and the Club Natació i Esports for their sporting presence, and journalist Ximo Rovira for his professional career and role as an ambassador. Other honors were granted to the Federació de Falles for cultural preservation, Luis Bañó of Pinturas Mondúber for commercial merit, and the collective La Safor con Palestina for work regarding rights and freedoms.
