Reports regarding fire safety and infrastructure issues in Vietnam have emerged across different regions. In Hue, a commercial and service complex managed by Dong A Infrastructure Joint Stock Company has remained an unfinished, overgrown site since its expected 2021 completion. Meanwhile, in Ha Tinh, businesses near Vung Ang Port raised concerns about fire risks due to the proximity of wood chip storage to fuel and chemical warehouses. Subsequent incidents involved active fires in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. A fire at vegetable kiosks in Ho Chi Minh City resulted in one death and a severe injury; authorities are investigating the blaze as suspected arson. In Hanoi, a fire at the HH1 Nguyen Tuân apartment complex led to the evacuation of hundreds of residents, though no casualties were reported. On September 7, a major fire occurred at ~~a hotel~~ the Thuy Duong Hotel on Tan Ky Tan Quy Street in Ho Chi Minh City. The blaze broke out around 5:00 ~~AM,~~ AM in the Tan Son Nhi Ward, trapping guests because the main rolling door was closed. Firefighting units deployed seven engines and 48 personnel to the scene, managing to prevent the flames from spreading to neighboring residential buildings.
