FK Željezničar and Čelik Zenica league match

FK Željezničar hosted NK Čelik Zenica at Grbavica Stadium for an eighth-round WWin League match in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The fixture coincided with the 105th anniversary of FK Željezničar and was attended by thousands of fans to mark the club's milestone.

The match resulted in a 1-1 draw. After a scoreless first half, Čelik Zenica took the lead in the 56th minute via a goal from Oliver Šarkić, who scored following an assist from Nedim Smajlović. FK Željezničar equalized in the 80th minute when captain Aleksa Pejić scored with a masterful long-range free kick from approximately 20 meters.

While the match was a milestone for the club, it was also marked by significant controversy, with reports citing over 20 disputed refereeing decisions. Following the match, Željezničar coach David Muslera expressed disappointment at not securing a win for the anniversary, noting that while the team has not lost in four matches, the draw felt like a “loss of two points.” Čelik coach Bojan Regoje expressed satisfaction with his team's performance, arguing that his side played better throughout the match and deserved a full victory.

In the broader context of the WWin League, Borac Banja Luka extended their winning streak against Široki Brijeg to 15 consecutive matches with a 3-2 victory at Pecara, led by a 63rd-minute goal from Matej Deket. This result brings Borac within two points of league leaders Zrinjski. In the Mostar derby, Zrinjski defeated Velež 2-0 with goals from Nemanja Bilbija and Antonio Ivančić, the former marking his 200th career top-tier goal. Following the derby, FK Velež issued a statement condemning an alleged attack on their fans with stones by spectators on the west stand, calling for an independent investigation into security failures.
