Flooding in West Sumatra has prompted relief efforts from various banking institutions and corporations to assist affected communities. In Solok Regency, Bank BSN provided disaster relief assistance to residents to support emergency response and recovery. The aid was handed over to the Solok Vice Regent to facilitate distribution to citizens. In Padang, relief efforts have expanded as multiple major Indonesian corporations mobilize aid. BNI, through its ‘BNI Berbagi’ program, has distributed essential logistics including mineral water, blankets, rice, cooking oil, eggs, and 400 ready-to-eat meals, alongside an 8,000-liter clean water tank to support sanitation. The impact remains significant in the Kuranji and Koto Tangah districts, where hundreds of residents have been forced to evacuate to mosques or relatives' homes. Additional support has been provided by BRI through its ‘BRI Peduli’ program, which delivered food packages to hard-hit areas such as Kampung Guo and Lubuk Minturun. Furthermore, Pertamina Patra Niaga has supplied basic food staples, LPG for community kitchens, and specific supplies for mothers and children to assist during the emergency response and initial recovery phase. These efforts are being conducted in coordination with the local disaster management agency (BPBD).
